Contemporary Greece is about political structure and current political climate and economic challenges and recovery efforts.

There are many Greek festivals and holidays in Greece. Easter is the most significant religious holiday, customs like the Holy Week processions, and the Resurrection celebration.

Carnival is a pre-Lenten festival with costumes, parades, and feasts. Name Days are more significant than birthdays, celebrating the feast day of the saint one is named after.

Of cultural significance are family gatherings, religious ceremonies, community involvement and seasonal traditions and their meanings.
