Learn sentences instead of words

It will help you if you learn 'chunks' of language like set phrases, collocations, and sentences rather than words. You would better understand the meaning rather than try to make sense of every word. 

Sentences are more convenient for language learners while participating in a conversation.

It provides better opportunities for language learners to memorise the phrasal verbs.

You would understand the words better and be able to use the language. Some of the words can have completely different meanings if they are used in phrasal verbs.

For example: Remember to call me today; I have news to tell you. (call = talk from telephone)

My boss is very busy today and he told me to call off the appointment (call off = cancel)

You could guess the word’s meaning even if you don’t know the word in a sentence.

For example: I commissioned another person to take over the project. (commission = hire/order a person to do things) Even though you don’t know the word commission, you can still guess this sentence means that I asked another person to do the project.
